John Sellinger

Guest teacher

I have been involved in Yoga since early childhood, having practiced first under the guidance of my parents. While travelling the world continuously with my family from the age of one, Yoga, meditation and philosophy became a unifying force for us. In my late teens, I began serious and regular practice of meditation, which had a great impact on my life as a student in the medical field.

From 2010 until recently, I lived in Rishikesh, India, in the ashram of my family’s spiritual guide, Swami Veda Bharati. During this time, I had the privilege of practicing under the guidance of many renowned teachers, with a focus on meditation and silence. I began teaching early on in India and continue to share practices and philosophy of the Himalayan Tradition with students in many countries.

I serve as an editor in Himalayan Yoga Publications Trust, which publishes books on Yoga, meditation, philosophy and silence.

I live with my wife and baby son and spend much time with family in both Switzerland and Australia.
