LIV lab «Therapeutics of Iyengar» 60h (EN/DE)

Iyengar Yoga 60 hrs with Juan Carlos Russo

Following the guidelines and principles of Iyengar Yoga, you will learn and practice the method of B.K.S.Iyengar which he developed and used for decades as a specifically therapeutic and alignment based yoga focusing on the intelligent use of props. This knowledge is especially valuable when working with people with injuries, chronic and/or recurring pain, and any kind of physical limitations being acute or long term. The techniques and understanding gained through Iyengar yoga can also be applied to other styles of yoga such as Yin, Restorative, Hatha, and is a beneficial tool for any yoga teacher wanting to uplevel their own practice as well as their teaching.

This is what participants from previous training and development courses at the LIV lab say:

Jana:
«The different approaches, styles and backgrounds of the teachers are wonderfully combined to provide students with a whole range of knowledge. Bianca, Pirmin and the team went all the way to provide us, not only with the best teachers, but also, against all the odds, made it possible to meet in person and grow closer as a group and community. One can really feel the love and passion those two have for yoga and well-being. It‘s a joy to be part of this community and I could not recommend it enough to anyone who is on a personal journey.»

Tatjana:
«I truly enjoyed the classes which were so diverse and all beneficial in its own way. The schedule is planned in a very good way, so that it can be done even if you work 100% next to it. It is also a big benefit to have such a nice variety of inspiring teachers. The training is also intense, this cannot be denied, but it is the good way of intensity, as if you go for a beautiful, long and demanding hike, it is that happy satisfying feeling after each training, that you did something very good for yourself.
From the very first moment, I felt as part of the group, humans with the same interest, to learn more about body, mind and soul, to go a little bit out of your comfort zone, to try something new and not feeling weird at the same time. In addition, it feels so good that there is an acceptance and openness within the training, no comparison and no judgement about how much you can and know, which makes it so easy to just be yourself and make the biggest benefit of this training.
I believe, no matter if you would like to teach your own classes afterwards or if you do it just for your own development, your body, mind and soul will surely profit and grow with this training.»

Jolanda:
«The yoga teacher training is of infinite value to me! There is a wonderful energy at the training weekends and it is wonderful to be able to share all the experiences with such lovely people. So much happens to me on and off the yoga mat. I learn, reflect, experience, feel, love.
Doing the training at LIV lab was an intuitive decision. I felt instantly that this is exactly where I want to experience this journey and it is indeed exactly how it feels, a feeling of coming home – the way yoga always feels to me. The YTT is super organized and structured, with some ‹Bali vibes› included.
Thanks to Bianca who gives from the heart and also pays attention to the little things and to the wonderful YTT teaching team who accompany us and pass on their knowledge with so much light and love.»

Karin:
«
When I learned that the LIV lab – where I practice regularly – was offering a yoga teacher training, I spontaneously signed up. Neither my age (I'll soon be in my mid-60s) nor my inflexibility stopped me. Only later did doubts come to me. And doubts, questions and astonishment came from the outside. But I already had one foot in the water. Before the training began, participants received a list of optional reading. The beautiful book by Desikashar ‹The Heart of Yoga›  took a lot of pressure off me. I also loved the Bhagavad Gita, the book was as exciting as a thriller.
When the training started, I was fully involved from the first hour, fascinated, touched and also shaken by this adventure. At some point it became clear to me that all the tools, techniques and philosophies taught were leading us down the same path: into life.
And Bianca, the creator of the training, made the impossible possible with her incredible presence. She brought and continues to bring together what I never expected. I am so glad and grateful to have embarked on this course. As by far the oldest student, I have simply found my place, I am simply part of a whole, I have never once had to explain or justify myself because of my age.
The training is such a valuable experience for my life – thank you!»

Illy:
«Profound teachings. A team of inspiring teachers with diverse cultural backgrounds. Bianca’s expertise, care and passion is exceptional and reflected in the entire course. Warmly recommended!»

Sibylle:
«
The training is not only a physical enrichment, but above all a spiritual one. The harmonious interaction of the different characters of the teaching staff with their knowledge, their open and familial nature make you feel ‹very welcome›. For me, the decision to do the training at LIV lab is one of the best of my life. Thank you Bianca and team!»

Julia:
«As a YDP Participant, my objective going into the course was to learn more about the practice of yoga - both on and off the mat. Thus, I particularly enjoyed the regular Asana practices followed by the detailed analysis of the different asanas. Having so many great teachers from so many diverse styles just made me want to practice more, also to improve my own practice. I am glad I signed up for the Yoga Development Programme at LIV lab because it has taught me a great deal - both consciously and subconsciously. I benefit from the teachings of the diverse, motivated and supremely qualified group of teachers daily, and that's what brings me the most joy.»
